Store Card PPI

Store cards could be the next big payout, some of these hidden claims for mis-sold insurance date back to the 1980’s.”

Are you one of thousands of customers who received store cards from high-street retailers such as Next, Debenhams etc (full list below) dating as far back as 1980? If so you may have unwittingly bought or should we say been mis-sold PPI.

The chances are you signed up for the store card at the till, in return for an immediate discount. With some stores when filling out the form you may not have been made aware that you needed to tick an opt-out box if you did not want Payment protection insurance.

Most store card owners are probably not aware they can reclaim PPI, on cards such as Next store cards, partially because they are unaware they were sold insurance or are of how to claim a refund on PPI.

The Financial Conduct Authority has imposed a deadline for PPI complaints of the 29th August 2019. So if you believe you might be entitled to reclaim PPI we urge you to get in touch with us.

The original amount paid for PPI on store cards is probably quite small, however, when claiming a refund for store card or any PPI for that matter you are claiming back the statutory interest at 8 percent, or 15 percent before 1993. Meaning the compounded interest over the years could result in a larger payout than you think you may be entitled to.

The banks and lenders have set aside billions of pounds in compensation.

Figures from a report  by the UK’s competition watchdog indicate that in the early 2000’s there were 17.5 million active store cards in the UK.

So we ask you, have you ever had one of the following store cards?

If so contact us today, we can check if you paid PPI on your Store Card
